    Late 2005, early 2006?

The lead to market that Blu-Ray has over HD-DVD will be meaningless in North America - as I expect HD-DVD to be out within that same timeframe.

Bring them both on! I know most people dread the prospect of a format war, but I relish it. Maybe because I'm so starved for HD content in my corner of the world. I just can't wait.

Is there a sucessor to the HDTV format currently being worked on? Considering how long it's taken HDTV to even take a foothold, I can see HD-DVD lasting a good long time.
