The need for the "white bread" POV is befuddling, to say the least.

The WWE was one of the producers of the film, but even though they didn't use one of their wrestling superstars as Steve (I'm truly surprised they didn't), that entire plot thread could have been dropped with no real damage to the film's purpose or impact.
