BING CROSBY ARCHIVE CDs AND DVDs SET FOR SPRING 2010 RELEASE

Collectors' Choice Music and Bing Crosby Enterprises, in association with HLC Properties, Ltd., are pleased to announce THE BING CROSBY ARCHIVE series of CDs and DVDs.

The inaugural release will include classic Crosby albums issued on CD for the first time, including Bing's final recording, Seasons from 1977, 1964's Return to Paradise Islands with Nelson Riddle, 1960's El Senor Bing with Billy May, and the never-before-issued 1962 album On the Sentimental Side. In addition, this release includes TWO brand-new, never-before-available compilations of Bing Crosby material: Bing on Broadway and the double-CD, So Rare: Treasures from the Crosby Archive. These CDs have been remastered from original sources, and Return to Paradise Islands has been remixed from the multi-track master tapes. On the Sentimental Side has also been newly mixed from the multi-track tapes but had never been mixed before. El Senor Bing includes a previously unreleased alternate mono mix of the album.

The inaugural DVD release in The Bing Crosby Archive series is a 2-DVD set: Bing Crosby: The Television Specials - Volume 1. This box set features four shows meticulously restored from original film and videotape masters: Bing's debut TV special from January 3, 1954 (with Jack Benny); his September 29, 1959 special (with Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee and Louis Armstrong); his May 14, 1962 special (with Bob Hope, Edie Adams and the Smothers Brothers); and his April 13, 1970 special Cooling It (with Dean Martin, Flip Wilson and Bernadette Peters). The collection also includes bonus features, such as rare interviews, short films and commercials featuring Bing Crosby.

Bing Crosby Enterprises, Crew Neck Productions and American Public Television recently completed a new television special The Legendary Bing Crosby, which features full musical performances from Bing's television specials taken from newly restored master sources. The show includes interviews with Kathryn Crosby, Mary Crosby, Regis Philbin, Andy Williams, Michael Feinstein, and Leonard Maltin. The program debuts in March on public television stations nationwide. A DVD of The Legendary Bing Crosby - including 35 minutes of material not seen in the broadcast - will initially be available exclusively to public television members, as will a new CD compilation, Bing Sings the Great American Songbook.

SYNOPSIS:
Bing Crosby and Christmas, they're synonymous. It was only natural for the voice that sold more than 100 million copies of "White Christmas" - and the star of such film classics as Holiday Inn and White Christmas - to celebrate the season on television.

Bing Crosby - The Television Specials, Vol. 2 showcases those beloved Christmas shows. Included in this premiere, two-disc collection are Bing's first holiday special, produced in England in 1961, his first color special from 1962 with Mary Martin, Bing Crosby and the Sounds of Christmas with Robert Goulet and Mary Costa from 1971. Also included is Bing's final special, Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas, which includes the iconic duet of "The Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth" with David Bowie.

These treasured programs have been meticulously restored from the original film and videotape sources and are presented with all original performances intact.
