After 2 weeks of pure nonsense from Benq Canada(through Benq U.s.) they are offering me a PB7100 refurb since they can't find a 6100 refurb to replace mine.
This should have been a simple drop off by Fed-ex followed the next day by them shipping out the refurb 6100. Well until I called 10 days after it left me, they had NO IDEA where it was. Somebody gave me a wrong RMA and my projector was left sitting in receiving for a full week.
Is this getting a 7100 instead of waiting for my 6100 a mistake?? Other than the shorter lamp life it appears to have some better features(digital zoom, better remote, more inputs, mouse pointer, direct aspect ratio change, soft carrying case).
the 6100 has a rated life of 3000hours in economy mode while the 7100 is rated at 2000. If I get a low hour replacement I should be OK since my 6100 had just shy of 700 hours. I'd probably gain about 500 hours.
Thoughts on my dilemma people??
