Are LCOS's supposed to be cheap!? (1 Viewer)

I know they just came out, but the 44" Philips is $3k, and the prices look to be the same as the Samsung DLP's.

Is this just because they are new? Should we see the prices fall in the next year or so?

I got the impression the prices were supposed to be

I think the Intel brand LCOS sets will be the competitively priced ones.
