I posted this on another forum and a couple of people found it useful. I thought I’d post it here to see if anyone else could benefit.
I've had my PLH403W for almost three years. I was really dissatisfied with the PQ out of the box. So, being a natural born tweaker, I immediately dove into the service menu and started exploring. After some research and experimentation using Avia, I was able to improve the display quality considerably. At that time, I typed up my notes and distributed them to a couple of people who also owned this TV and had helped me.
I later purchased the service manual and I've since improved the information in my calibration notes. I'm offering them here to anyone else who is interested. Since I cannot include the file here as an attachment, all who are interested can contact me by email and I will send it to you.
Regards,
Steve
