This has been asked in past. I wondered if there was any new news. I'd love to see The Ladykillers on DVD.

Slightly off-topic, but could somebody please ask about the re-release of DAWN OF THE DEAD? I'd be most grateful.

At the chat tonight (another great one, thanks Ron, Ned & Packy!), Anchor Bay's Michael Felsher said we'll be (tentatively) seeing 4 classic Ealing comedies on DVD in mid-2002:
KIND HEARTS & CORONETS
THE LAVENDER HILL MOB
THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT
THE LADYKILLERS
They will be available both individually, and in a box set that will also include a 5th classic Ealing comedy, CAPTAIN'S PARADISE, as an exclusive extra. Cool beans.
In an earlier HTF chat with Mr. Felsher, he announced other Ealing comedies they planned to release, such as WHISKEY GALORE (aka TIGHT LITTLE ISLAND), PASSPORT TO PIMLICO, HUE & CRY, TITFIELD THUNDERBOLT, etc, but no mention of them at tonight's chat. I suppose they are in the works for release farther in the future. Anchor Bay has a pretty full roster of future releases to produce, so that's quite understandable.
