Any info on the new Samsung HD841? (1 Viewer)

this is the upgrade to the HD931 and goes for about $100 less than the original. samsung also told me that there is a HD941 on the way soon. best buy told me that the hd841 comes with a dvi cable but admitted it seems rather flimsy. has anyone checkes this player and cable out yet?

The HD841 isn't worth it IMHO. Read the threads at avsforum.com's DVD Players section. If you want a decent & reasonably-priced DVI-based DVD player right now, the Momitsu V880 or the Zenith DVB318 are top picks.

to make a long story short, i bought it today. everything looked and sounded good to my untrained eyes and ears until i got to the 720p and 1080i using the DVI input. basically the picture went green with both. same thing that happened with the hd931. my hd841 now sits back at best buy.

I have this player. Pic quality is great on my Samsung 61" DLP (HLN617W) using DVI. The HD841 does have issues with DTS formats: there are occasional brief (
