I am going to college next year and rather than buy expensive speaker stands... I was wondering if anybody has any plans for cheap wooden (or otherwise) speaker stands for my rear speakers (as I want to be able to move them out of the way). Being easy to build is always a plus too

Thanks.

I don't know what you consider cheap but for $15-20 you can buy them at Best Buy and similar stores. It's fun to do DIY projects but for $15 you may want to avoid an hour or two of work and just buy them :)

I'm making some currently with some scrap MDF and some 4" PVC Drain pipe ... I'll post the pics when I'm finished ... I think most will find them very nice ... The cool thing is you can fill them with sand for stability ...
