I would like to put my amplifier, and the remote control in another room.
Can it be done ?
The amplifier is a Sony STR-DB840.

Yes.

I don’t know the details of your unit, but there are Radio Frequency (RF) remote controls that can be connected to a base unit that in turn will control your amplifier.

You can buy a universal RF remote control that will allow you to control a number of devices either directly or remotely.
