in the new issue of uk sci-fi mag sfx there is an ad for the blob the criteron edition are they now letting the uk get there flicks ???

This is coming from Village Entertainment, but I believe the extras are very similar to (if not exactly the same as) the Criterion edition; maybe they simply licensed it out?

As I mentioned in the 'value of criterion' thread the Region 2 SE of Armageddon has Criterion Collection on the spine - no numbers though.

If I recall correctly, The Rock has 'Criterion Collection' on the screen menus. Quite a few of the Criterion releases have found their way to the UK in various formats from almost direct clones to restored movie print only.

Beastie Boys Anthology in UK is a Criterion as well.

But dont buy it, the full length Intergalatic video has sync problems.
