As we know, this is the greatest film ever made.

Mr Harris, do you have any knowledge of a Blu-ray Disc release?

Many thanks.

TCM showed an impeccable print of this the other night- looked like a restoration- not a film speck to be seen and the color was amazing. Hopefully a Blu Criterion follows. One of my all time favorite films.

It has definitely been restored - the restoration premiered at the TCM Classic Film Festival several years ago - introduced by Michael Powell's widow Thelma Schoonmaker, no less.

I saw the TCM telecast and the Technicolor looked fantastic. There's even a Technicolor line in the film!

I have the box set version, and Matter of Life and Death looks very good. There are some scenes where there is color fringing due to negative shrinkage, but the color and sharpness are fine. It's a pretty accurate transfer off a pretty good element. It could be restored further, but that hasn't happened yet. For the bargain price and the pretty good quality, I won't complain.

I saw this on TCM recently as well, and was awe struck by what a truly great piece of film making "A Matter Of Life And Death" is. And this coming from someone who simply does not enjoy David Niven as an actor.
