Barry Sonnenfeld's 1999 The Addams Family makes it way to 4k UHD courtesy of Paramount, and the results are frighteningly positive.
A beautiful image, with requisite grain and wonderful colors plays nicely with a full gray scale and highly resolved image.
Owen Roizman's cinematography shines in 4k, with many shots taking full advantage of the newest home video format.
This is an easy one, still entertaining after three decades, it's still a viewing pleasure.
The audio, reproduced via DTS-HD MA is rich, full and easily takes over a room.
Image – 5 (Dolby Vision)
Audio – 5 (DTS-HD MA 5.1o)
Pass / Fail – Pass
Plays nicely with projectors - Yes
Upgrade from Blu-ray - Yes
Makes use of and works well in 4k - 4
