Since few graders don't know how to do a proper transfer, I guess that means that most graders do know how to do it proper!
Nevertheless, this is Warner Archive we're talking about here, and they know exactly what they are doing. I suspect the disc will be sheer perfection.

I watched the disc this morning and thought it looked great. One more thing, I forgot how wonderful of a soundtrack this film had from Jerry Goldsmith.

Through Sunday June 16th B&N is having a 40% off blu ray sale. Excludes Criterion, Disney, and Marvel but includes the Warner Archive using ship to home. With 40% off the single disc archive titles are $13.19 each. Apparently B&N raised the threshold for free shipping and now it is $35. Free shipping available for any size order with membership plus you get additional 10% off with ship to home. I had two ,one use, 20% off coupons , that I got in the mail and so with coupons and 10% membership discount I purchased Patch of Blue and Summer Stock for $9.50 each plus tax.

FYI the B&N website shows the Warner Archive titles but they are not discounted if you buy from the website. Must use in store ship to home.

2nd FYI I just read on another forum that the 40% off works with preorders that are in their system. This means you can get Gaslight among others at 40% off. However if you have coupons they do not work on preorders.

It is certainly possible that the new owners of B&N might not continue the sales many of us have anticipated year and after year. Take advantage while they are here.

Just watched the blu and it is stunning, absolutely beautiful. The previous transfer was muddy, blurry, and cropped. It is so sharp it looks like you're looking out a window. Good job!
