As Herb Kane has so aptly noted, Warner Home Video's Busby Berkeley Collection has been put together with a great deal of obvious love of and respect for the cinema.
The studio technical staff has gathered the finest surviving image and audio elements for the five most famous of the Berkeley projects, which is more difficult than one might imagine. The newest of these films is 72 years old.
There are enough titles still unreleased to make up a second collection of Warner projects.
The bottom line on this release is that everything has been done correctly, and at a street price of under $45 no self-respecting cinephile should not be adding this collection to their library.
A solid "A" in all departments, and very highly recommended.
