Hi:
I have an Onkyo 939 receiver that I am using to power speakers in multiple rooms. The lowest "rated" impedence is 6 ohms. I was wondering if it would be OK to run 6 8-ohm speakers into three channels, or would it be too much for the Onkyo? It's rated at 100 w x 5 @ 8 ohms. I'd only be using three channels so it has power to spare, right? I don't want to spend the money on a high-wattage speaker selector.
Thanks,
Chris

Hmm.. interesting..
Once I managed to fit 6 speakers (3 on each side) on an 8 ohm 120 watt 2 channel amp.
I just made sure I wired the wires correctly and effciantly and I used exactly 8 ohms!
Nothing blew out!
