Thanks for your comments. I really wanted this to be a good 4k release but so far it hasn't said 'buy me'. Will wait for further reviews.

I haven't bought it but watched the UHD stream on Prime, although I don't think I would have recognised it as 4k without being told. The pool table is green but the the distant tables had a definite bluish hue.

As for the film it's not a favourite Delon or Melville. The running time feels stretched, particularly in the first hour, and then the end is very abrupt, although the heist is well done. Chase, heist, shooting, already looking formulaic by 1970. At the end I expected Montand to enter the house with Delon for the reveal. Unless it is a real favourite, I wouldn't bother upgrading to 4K.
