40" Xbr v. 42" Rp's? (1 Viewer)

last week i decided on the 40" xbr... but i was just at my uncles house.. he has a new 43 Mitsu.. my main question is... is the size jump worth the poorer picture.. and if i can go without using games on it, is a DLP still worth it?
i am trying to keep the price at the same point if not lower than the xbr ($2500).. the bulb issue also kinda pisses me off.. will i be able to change it myself? how long to the repair guys take?

now it looks like it is really between the 40+ inch new Mitsu with DVI comming later this month... the Hitachi 46FS500, and the SONY 46WT500

anyone know more about any of these sets?
