Ok, I've cheated a little. It is not really a real widescreen. But nonetheless it si quite close. With the vertical compression mode on the samsung, the 36" TXL3676 becomes a beautiful 32" 16:9 regular tube TV. Really not bad for the price. Don't be put off by the setting you see on the showroom floor, once adjusted the quality of the picture is really nice.

Robert, I don't think you can beat those Samsung's for price & picture quality.
