Another vote too for a second Esther Williams set as long as it includes a remastered version of "Milllion Dollar Mermaid". I hope Fox will also release a second Betty Grable set. Also a new "Classic musicals from the Dream Factory" (vol. 4) including "Lovely to look at" and "Yolanda & the thief". Fox "The best things in life are free" and finally the Show Boat box set ! And yes indeed, I love the musicals
Duuhhh.. AnD I 4 want one of them Esther Williams boxxsetss cuz she wuz sooooooo talented, ok? I wood reelly leik one of them Eshter Williams box sets!
In all seriousness, I just want to see a Betty Boop set. You can keep your goddamn Esther Williams
Regarding the Esther Williams vs. Betty The Boop battle royale ..... don't mind us, Kevin. Some of us prefer a real blood and flesh woman over a drawn cartoon. But whatever floats your boat!
I would like to see the Jean Harlow set we've been hearing about for FOUR YEARS now. There is no excuse, since Harlow does have fans - lots of them. She draws just as much traffic at fansites and celebrity boards as Davis, Crawford, Garbo, etc. She has more youtube tributes than just about any other star mentioned in this thread.
The absence of a boxset from Warner on her continues to puzzle me.
Sony: The Inner Circle (1991) [Starring Tom Hulce, directed by Andrei Konchalovsky] Animation collections of the UPA and 1930s Charles Mintz shorts [most are already restored]

Jeff unless I've missed something, you aren't aware that both Eastwood titles have been released in excellent OAR anamorphic transfers in '07s 'Clint Eastwood: Western Icon Collection' , 'Rooster Cogburn' is similarly re-done in the 'John Wayne: Screen Legend Collection' from Universal and 'WarGames' was nicely transferred in last year's 25th Anniversary reissue.
Thanks for the info! I was trying to locate individual releases (not in boxed sets) of these films but I'll look into the box sets. I figured I might be double-dipping on some films that I wasn't planning on doing with box sets but it's definitely good info.
I could probably type for hours, if I let myself, but I'll try to restrict myself to a few items per studio:
Warners:
Yolanda and the Thief
Two Girls and a Sailor
The Firefly (a real gem!)
ALL unreleased Eleanor Powell films
the entire Andy Hardy series
Juarez
The Last Flight
Daybreak (1931)
Till the End of Time
Four Daughters/Daughters Courageous/Four Wives/Four Mothers--yes! a Lane Sisters set!
Film Noir vol 5--ideally with Three Strangers/They Won't Believe Me/The Unsuspected/The Fallen Sparrow/The Locket/The Mask of Dimitrios/Cornered/High Wall/Confidential Agent (not a true noir, but I love it, and the cateogry has been stretched before!)/A Woman's Secret (ditto)
Esther Williams Vol 2 (especially Duchess of Idaho)
Jean Harlow set--Red Dust/Bombshell/Hold Your Man/Reckless/Beast of the City/Suzy
a Jean Arthur set (any of her unreleased Columbia films would be welcome!)
a Phil Karlson set--5 Against the House/Tight Spot/Scandal Sheet/ Ladies of the Chorus/+ maybe they could obtain the rights to 99 River Street
Universal
You and Me (1938)

Cry of the City
The Story of Alexander Graham Bell
Paramount
a William Dieterle set!!!! (Paid in Full/Dark City/September Affair/Rope of Sand/The Accused/The Turning Point)
Others--in some cases I'm a bit confused as to who would release them!!
Wyler's Wuthering Heights and These Three (MGM right?)
Mark Robson's I Want You and Edge of Doom (these were also Sam Goldwyn films)
This was on Australian TV a couple of nights ago, it was great watching de Havilland talk to 'herself' constantly
I'd like to see the following released this year:
A third Tyrone Power set from Fox that includes King of the Khyber Rifles and Untamed.
A fifth Film Noir set from Warner, that features ten films (on 5 discs), including Riffraff, The Locket, and I Died a Thousand Times.
A second Warner Home Video Westerns set, concentrating on some excellent Allied Artists 1950s B-westerns, e.g. Wichita, The First Texan, The Oklahoman, Oregon Passage, and others like Colorado Territory, A Thunder of Drums, The Last Hunt, and The Command.
Fox CinemaScope genre boxed sets, e.g.:
Action / Adventure - The Racers, The Egyptian, The Roots of Heaven, Seven Cities of Gold, On the Threshold of Space, The Way to the Gold
Dramas - Woman's World, Prince of Players, Blue Denim, Bottom of the Bottle, A Hatful of Rain, Goodbye Charlie, Tender is the Night
