Actually, I attempted this last summer... well, sort of.

I repeatedly attempted to get ahold of the correct Warner production personnel to notify them that the spider-pit spider still existed and should be featured in their documentary. I also sent a couple very detailed, professional emails to WETA's main business & production offices regarding the spider (which included P.J.'s personal office), but never even received a single courtesy response. I also specifically included easily-checked references (with people P.J. personally knew) who would verify this spider as existing and authentic. But again, no response from anybody. Very strange indeed.

I also think it would be great if kongisking.net would pick up on this, but I'm through trying myself for now — after spending several months trying to inform Warner and WETA of this — I'm think I'm just cursed or something. (Plus I'm just too darn exhausted right now from dealing with these photos... spend a lot of time getting them scanning, cleaning them up, etc.)

However, if you or someone else would like to help out and spread the word, that would really be terrific!

Anyway, glad you folks are enjoying the pics!
