18ft rope lights for $3.98 at Home Depot (1 Viewer)

I just bought three packs of 18ft red rope lights from Home Depot.

I was still trying to decide on white or red.

I finally decided on red.

The only bad thing is that on the package it says you can't cut these lights.

The one's I bought from Home Depot were a little more expensive, but you can cut them at 12" intervals, or string sets together for longer runs. I put them along the top of the wall behind my HT, with a 3" wide band of oak spaced away from the wall a couple of inches to shield them from view. It creates a great indirect lighting scheme.

I thought it was 18" intervals. I think there are dashed lines where you can cut it either way.

That is a good price, I'll go check it out.

This is not the rope lighting that you cut from a spool.

This 18 feet rope lighiting comes in kit form.

The package is labeled:

The Home Depot sku 842822 is on the back of the package.

Also, I noticed that the Atlanta corporate office is listed on the back, so I guess it's package specially for Home Depot.

The cost is $3.98 per 18 feet package.

They have clear, red, green and blue.

I was going to wait until Xmas, but I'm scared that I wouldn't be able to find the color that I want.

Maybe I'll check back on the 26th and see if they have marked the price down less than $3.98.

Also the Home Depot and Kmart rope lights come with plastics mounts that are already together.

Target's and Walmart's, you have to snap two pieces of plastic together.

I had a very hard time with the Target and Walmart brand and took them both back.
