Apparently the DMZ+/lease issues is unique to the Pace 5268AC gateway and the firmware. Known issue according to many and AT&T is not inclined to fix it...
I got some info from a different forum that is a problem with the DMZ and the lease renewal cycle. I am removing the Asus router and just using the Pace 5268AC gateway...I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello everyone. Hoping someone here can help. I have several issues with my current Roku's that I am struggling with. Set up is as follows:
Path 1 is:
AT&T Fiber at 1Gbps
AT&T gateway
Asus RT-AC3200 Tri-band Wireless Gigabit Router
Roku Ultra connected via Cat6 with manually assigned IP
Denon...
Hey all,
So I recently upgraded to a Denon AVR-X4300H and am not looking to add the ceiling speakers for a 5.1.4 Atmos/Auro-3D setup. Through reading of various articles is appears Atmos has some of the more restrictive speaker locations, so I figure I would use that as the basis. Below is a...
Morning everyone. I am trying to determine what may be happening in my home theater. A couple months ago a got "screeching" through my speakers. It happened again tonight on Rogue One. It usually happens during a loud scene. I'm not sure if this is clipping or something else. I have run this...
I am setting up a new HT (downsizing) in a new home. So a new Atmos receiver would be a great way to start the process. I have access to the the ceiling through the attic so adding the ceiling speakers would be a relatively easy process. Then sit down with Insurgent and let er rip.
Good day and sorry for the dissertation.
I am being relocated for my job and will be downsizing my house and unfortunately my home theater. My current custom built theater is 15X22 (pictures attached and layout), my new theater is 9X18 (and there lies problem #1 – divisible walls). I...
Not sure if this is in the right place...
So we are moving into a new build house and it has a room dedicated to as a "media room" that is pre-wired for 5.1...in the wrong orientation. The room is 9X18 (I will have to treat for the room modes) and it currently is wired for the screen to go on...
So I am getting ready to move (house hunting next week) and will be designing my next home theater. It would be great to get the latest surround format designed in from the start. This receiver would fit the bill very nicely.
I am getting ready to move and will likely convey my current set-up. My new house will present a blank slate to design a new home theater and I would love to do it with the latest gear and formats. I currently have an older Onkyo receiver and have been very happy with it - time to jump on the...
So my victory was an illusion...the stuttering is back. I am at the end of my trouble shooting skills. I did test the same setup on my second HTPC in my theater in the basement and everything worked fine. I also set up WMC on my desktop PC in the office and everything worked fine. So I...
Ok, hesitant to call victory quite yet, but I went in the server Network Adapter settings and changed Speed and Duplex from Auto Negotiation to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex. Things seem to be working now...so we shall see.
So I recorded a show and left it on the local hard drive and it played fine; but as soon as I sent it to the server...it stuttered. So I am coming down to either the network or the server as the issue. I have already tried 2 different gigabyte switches.
Any ideas how to start determining...
so if I pause the show, wait a bit, and then start it back up...I get perfect playback for short period of time (about the same as the pause length)...is there a buffer/queue somewhere that can be changed?
I have actually started to wonder if I go the XBMC (Kodi) route with WMC as my backend...
Hello everyone.
So a while back I posted about wanting to get bitstream over HDMI and my current system didn't support it. So I bought a new graphic card and got video and sound through the HDMI cable...for about 2 days.
Now I can't get smooth video or sound from my server, through my HTPC...
Good morning all
So I am looking to upgrade my HTPC to be able to get an audio bitstream through HDMI to my receiver. My current video is passed through a DVI to HDMI cable and the audio is passed through optical. The HTPC runs/performs the following:
- Windows 7 Professional
- Windows...
Looking to get a new TV for the living room. This will be the secondary TV as I have a dedicated HT in the basement (w/ 106" HD projection) - more for everyday viewing. We have a built in recess in our wall for the TV to sit (i.e. therefore the flat issue is moot - the TV can have depth and does...
Well I have done 1 successful cable - there are actually 10 wires in there! Reason I want to actually extend them rather than daisy chaining them is to conserve space in the conduit. Now on to the other controller cable and then 4 N64 controllers :D
I got a Logitec Harmony remote 676 and it works with my old sony projector with no problems. I bought it when I got a Denon 3805 that didn't have a remote. All the codes are downloaded off the internet, so you do not need the orignal remote to program it.
Not sure - I tried to find the info as well before posting. Their hefty and the anchors I listed are rated to 50 pounds in drywall, so you should be good.
I mounted my Def Tech BPX with no problem just using some drywall achors. I get the white kind that look like a gaint screw. These Heck, in my old townhouse I used them to mount my projector.
Has anybody extended PS2 controller cables by adding additional wire in the middle. I have a riser that is 8' deep, plus a few feet in the component closet. I am trying to run the controller cable through my conduit, but I am ending up having to string several extention cable together. Wondered...
