I am looking to buy an HD receiver that will allow me to pick up the local HD channels without having to subscribe to my cable company's HD package or something like DirecTV. Does anyone know a basic HD receiver I could buy that I could use a basic antenna with to pick up what my local channel...
I have had mine for a couple weeks now and find the picture to be unmatched. There is a problem with screen shift, however. This is the reason for the DVI mode A/B. If you notice one mode will shift the screen over a little bit more than the other. You must get the firmware update in order to...
Well until I can find a permanent fix I took the satellites and plugged them into the extra front speaker slots (B) and they come in crystal clear. Problem is you can't adjust them like you can true satellites so it's always 50/50 between front and rear. Works well enough for now, I guess.
I have an older Pioneer (CX-4000) setup. I have recently decided to finally put out satellites and take advantage of the Dolby Pro Logic surround sound. The problem is when you are running the system in surround the satellites crackle badly. The noise is equal to the volume so when you raise the...
I didn't want to mess with the TV, but I really wish I had access to the service menu for the DVD player right about now. Regarding the TV I have had no problems with DVD playback or regular TV viewing. As a matter of fact I am thoroughly impressed with all the settings and calibration...

12 views and no replies yet :frowning: Can anyone at least let me know how to get into the service menu so I can see if ther eis a way to adjust the geometry of the DVD player?
The video output on my Samsung HD931 is shifted to the left about 1-2 inches. I think I heard others say they had the same problem, anyone? Is there a fix for it? If I change it to DVI mode B it's even worse. My TV is a Philips 60PW9383 if it matters. Thanks for any advice. I don't want to...
Well, darn...thanks for the input. I was hoping the Samsung HD931 was ggoing to be my last major purchase for awhile. BTW I have had this unit for about 5 months now and have only the highest praise for it. No problems at all so far.
Can someone give me the basics on what I need in order to receive the HD channels on my HDTV? I hear are freely broadcast in my city, but I heard I need a special antenna to pick them up.
