I am looking to buy an HD receiver that will allow me to pick up the local HD channels without having to subscribe to my cable company's HD package or something like DirecTV. Does anyone know a basic HD receiver I could buy that I could use a basic antenna with to pick up what my local channel broadcast for free?

    Any help is very appreciated!

Please ask about specific-model recommendations in the appropriate hardware-related area (which, in the case of HD settop boxes, is here in A/V Sources). The Basics section is for general discussion at the beginner level only. Thanks.

I have the Samsung SIR-T151. Older unit lacking DVI, but it does the trick. As I only get a handful of stations I don't really need anything too feature laden - as long as it tunes and spits out a signal I'm happy. You can probably get it off eBay for under 200 now.
