i have an opportunity to get this monitor for a shade over $800 with my discount (retailer not to be named)... it retails around $1300 so its a pretty good deal... now i have no experience with this monitor and i am wondering what your opinions of it are... if your opinions are good... next...
i figured as much......but like i said, this is NOT for my audio setup.....this is just for the living room use... and i can take advantage of the memory card and DIVX options
that was my gripe about it as well......thing only weighs 4 lbs.... are there any stand alone players out there that play all the formats, but are built a little more stout???
i started searching for an all in one unit for my living room setup... im not looking for absolute fidelity or picture.. just a good stand alone unit that will play anything i throw at it.... so at first i found pioneers new dv588as unit but it does not have a memory card reader.....then i found...
ive finally acquired a higher end component to my theater! ive been in search of a budget priced center that i was happy with the sound of, and low and behold i came across a used cc-300. i was over at my local stereo shop and noticed a paradigm label sticking out from behind a bunch of used...
i appreciate your reply! it was just a little discouraging especially since i bought them AFTER my vidsonix, expecting them to be of higher quality..... im going to to take some up close pictures of the vidsonix, i think everyone would be pretty impressed..... i probably sound like a damn...
i have the cheaper WH-2 bipolar wharfedales...... and i was referring more or less to the build quality of the wharfedales, i was so dissapointed in the quality that i emailed them about it...... the drivers were not centered, there was glue all over the place, and the allen head screws were in...
i have the MG-S84 mini towers..... ive never heard fluance speakers although i am considering them for a center speaker if i find one cheaper than the vidsonix center..... but ive auditioned a lot of paradigm, B&W, etc, and the only thing that the vidsonix lack is depth. The highs sound very...
youd be VERY surprised at their quality...compared to wharfedale and other somewhat lower brand names Vidsonix is leaps and bounds above them in construction quality. Sound quality is also well above your run of the mill speakers you can buy at best buy etc. for the price i dont think there is...
thanks, im still waiting to hear back from them.... ive just rearranged my living room and now have them on the sides of my sofa facing the sofa..... sound is just beautiful in that position
get the dayton powered 10" from www.partsexpress.com i got mine for $138 shipped..... excellent excellent value, especially for a college student like me and you it rocks my apartment goes pretty low for the money
regardless of what i paid, the quality should be there from a well established company the vidsonix speakers are NOT a tower, they are a mini tower.... look at the dimensions, i think they are only like 22 inches high, they do sound very warm, but the highs need to be tuned down a little
yeah dont get me wrong about the sounds..... they are a good sounding speaker, but they do lack the depth that my vidsonix and others put out... perhaps its the volume of the cabinet or the lack of a port... like i said, overall im satisfied, but i think a reputable speaker company should have...
i just received the speakers and hooked them up.... overall im very pleased with the sound and they do fill the rear surround quite well. On the other hand im a tad bit disappointed with the construction overall.... the drivers and tweeters are not mounted squarely as the screws are...
im definately excited..... i also ordered some knu konceptz 10 gauge 462 strand clear blue speaker wire that was on sale for $.60/foot and ...and picked up U-571 to really give the whole system a test..... im waiting til the surrounds arrive before i play the movie
ecost.com has the wharfedale wh-2 bipole surrounds on sale for $62 with free shipping!!! my poor boy college student system is coming together! so far ive managed to get: -Yamaha RX-V440 receiver (good entry level receiver if anyone is looking) -Dayton 10" powered sub from parts...
my local stereoshop carries b&w, paradigm, boston, polk, velodyne, and klipsch they have a very nice listening room, and it makes it VERY easy to distinquish the sounds of each brand..... even if they are in direct competition, they each have their own sound
all i can say is WOW... this added a completely new dimension to my system.... Gladiator is whole new movie now!!!... im going to rent U-571 and see how it performs!! it is very well constructed and sounds unbelievably tight and deep... i think i got a great deal on this sub, and i highly...
i cant wait to try it! its 1230 in the morning and i cant sleep im so excited, it will be here today!!! i have an 8:00 class and i just cant go to sleep.... i think there is something wrong with me to be this excited over a sub
im skeptical about these... all i can picture is a "rumble pack" type effect like video games have.... or do these actually put out very low frequencies that you can feel... maybe its just me but i think the effects of a very good low frequency from a sub would be all the feeling i need...
