Even If I upgraded to Directv's HD dish, there would still be channels that are not HD. So those channels would look bad? So are you guys just using the widescreens's to watch movies?
I need help with basically one question guys. I have asked this before, but perhaps I didn't word properly what response I was looking for. So here it goes again: I have Directv and I would like to get a widescreen, but I don't intend to upgrade to Directv's HD dish until more HD channels come...
Gregg, I have a 32" TV now. I am not all that knowledable about what all the specs mean etc. So I just don't want to get a TV, bring it home, and not know enough to have the picture look good. What I saw in the stores made my wife turn around and leave. Not a good sign when trying to convince...
Hi, I was intrested in getting a widescreen TV (55"), and went out looking at them at various stores (ABC Warehouse, Sears etc.) When flipping through the channels, the stations that were not being broadcast via HD were a bit fuzzy and not very good. This happened at ABC & Sears. Both sales...

Another one I like is Spirit. The opening of the movie when M.Damon is talking, then all of a sudden the horses come romping over the hill. I like to crank the sub on this one!

Thanks for responding Carl, but the guy I talked to said I would need another VCR. Is this possible? He was a salesmen at radio shack. I am just trying to determine my budget, and I really don't want to purchase another VCR if it's not necessary. So if anyone knows how to connect it so they will...
I am new to Home theaters and am actually going to purchase some equipment soon. Here is my problem: I currently have a DVDVCR combo player and was wondering if I can hook it up some way so they both work with the surround sound. I was told that if I connect the DVDVCR to the reciever with an...
