I wanted to know if anyone out there in HT Land has any viewing experience with a Mitsubishi WS. Particualrly the 73", and I also want to know who has the lowest price.
Is there a thread that will tell me what determines 4x3 material, and 16x9 material. How do tell what is 16x9 material this is really what I' am leaning toward.
I'm not cheap or nothing but ther is a HT in a box being sold at Wal-Mart for $499.99. It is a Sony HT-1700 it comes also with a dvd player 5.1 channel DD and DTS 80 watts x 5 channels 100 watt subwoffer with 8" driver Would anyone recommend this or purchase some thing else?
First, What does it mean when referring to "HDTV compatible". Does this mean that I need some "extra" equipment to display HDTV quality? Please someone help me.:frowning:
Is it possible to get cable/satellite programing in HT via front-projection. For Boxing matches, footbal, baseball, etc. If it is possible what should I watch out for; i.e. problems tha may arise from doing it.
Please diret me, if there is one to the prime/faq that has to do with the purpose of the amplifier as it relates to audio systems. If not then my question is what is the purpose for the amplifier?
I wanting to know anyones recommendations/opinion on some speakers and subwoofers. If I compared Vandersteen loudspeakers to Martin Logans. Which ones would be best used in Garage turned into an HT? Or is there any recommendations?
Well for the start of my HT audio system I have a budget of about $2500. For the Projector and screen about $3500. Is this not enough do I need a bigger budget?
As for what equipment I have. I do not have any projector equipment. I' m in the process of upgrading my receiver(TEAC Dolby-Pro Logic) & Speakers(Technics Loudspeakers (old)). So I'm going about it piece by piece.
I apologize beforehand if I'm in the wrong forum. My question is what am I to purchase that goes with the front-projector and screen? Is there any "support equipment" that needs to be purchased as well. I also know that a good HT Stereo system is also needed.
