Thanks to everyone's assistance, I've got the thing working. Now comes the dreaded attempts to program the Denon remote to work all the associated electronics. I am simply appalled at how horrible the owners manual is for a relatively expensive piece of consumer equipment. I would think there is...
Putting the remote into AMP solved the sytem setup problem. Thanks very much. Now if I can only figure out how to get the video from the digital cable system to show up on the TV. The COAX comes into the digital cable tuner box, and then by s-video to the tv/dbs input on the 3802. I get no...
While trying to set up my new 3802, I have followed the directions exactly as far as I can tell. I fired up the receiver, pushed setup on the remote, and got the setup menu on my TV screen. Now however, it does nothing. I cannot get the remote to cause the cursor to scroll up or down to select...
The ProTower 400's have built in subwoofers in each tower, similar to the powered bipolar speakers that Definitive makes. Not sure yet that I will need a freestanding subwoofer, although that is an option down the road. Would certainly improve things further. Thanks for the response. Is it OK...
I am slowly building my home theater, and currently have a 55" Mitsubishi Platinum Plus TV, a pair of Def Tech ProTower 400s, and a Def Tech C2 center speaker. Just picked up a Denon 3802 on a smoking deal today, so I find myself thinking of surrounds/rear speakers. The room is fairly good...

Looking for some input. I am trying to decide between an Outlaw 1050 and the Sony STR-DA3ES. Both can be had for about $500, but I'm not sure which would work better for me. System will run a DefTech C2 center, a pair of ProTower 400s in front, and a pair of as yet undecided DefTech surrounds...
Thanks for the input. Yes I'm in the US, sorry. I'm looking in the $500 - $1000 range for this piece. Broad range I know, but what the heck. Again, thanks much.
Hi folks. New to the board and very impressed so far, but I have a question. I tried a search but didn't see an anwer to this. I am in the market for a new DVD player, and was interested in one with progressive scan. At the same time, I would want it to handle SACDs, but from what I have...
