Thanks for answering! My port kit is made of 3 sections. Does this mean that the overall port length will be something like 17 inches long (with the flaired ends included?) Thanks.
The plans call for a "full length 12" center tube". What does this mean? Is it the length of the port from end to end or just the tube between the two flared ends. I am using the 4" flared port from Parts Express. Thanks!
I was wondering how to make a lfe cable for my sub. Would it be okay to use RG6 cable? What type connector would I use? Thanks for any help that you can offer.
You can get reconditioned theater seats from this guy. You need to read through the thread. I have 4 seats on order and he has been great to work with so far.

I've heard that there is link for a 5% discount towards purchases at Adire. I have searched around and have been unable to find it. Can anybody point me toward the discount or was it only offered for a limited time?
Are there any dipoles that are made by Adire that can be used in a HT? I really like the center, but without dipoles for the surrounds I'm not sure that it would meet my needs. Would any non-Adire dipole surrounds work (like the Audax ones made by Vance Dickenson)?
I've been playing around with lspcad and I am having a problem with what the line should look like. I am trying to design a vented sub. Here are two questions/problems I'm having
I have been able to make the line completely flat, but it always drops off before it gets to the tuning freq. of...
How narrow can I make the sub if I switch the drivers to the front?
How much space should I leave under the sub so the port can breath?
I definately will be taking Greg up on his offer.
Thanks for showing me where my numbers were wrong. I read over the white Papers and it appears that the Shivas might not be the best drivers for me (they are designed for small boxes). Maybe I should switch to the Tempests.
Is it possible to have the drivers be front firing and have the ports...
I've been playing around with lspcad. I took a while to get the hang of, but I think I'm starting to.
Would somebody mind looking over these numbers (it made a fairly straight line, but what do I know :)) I haven't included the bracing or anything like that yet.

I was just reading about IB's and I was wondering if having the sub in the attic would cause a problem with sound transmision to the outside world or through the rest of the house.
Thanks for the graphs. I was surprised, but I could understand them and the cleared up a few of my questions.
I hadn't thought about making a sealed sub. Is this something that I should consider? I could make the sub front firing and drop it to the ground so I wouldn't have the height...
I come up with a few more questions.
The first is what does 18"^2 x 84" mean. I get the 18" and 84" but I'm lost on the other part (I'm really new to this).
The second is, What is the benifit of having dual tempests? If I went for two would the run off the same amp (I've ordered the pe...
I don't have a lot of room to add on the height (maybe a couple of inches). Would this be enough to tune it down to the sub 20hz range? Could I put a 90 degree bend in the port or would that totally mess things up? Does anybody have a link to show me what software I need to use to model the...
Actually I just getting started with the theater construction, and I will be getting a projector. The size can be changed a bit. How wide would I need to make it in order to fit a Tempest into it.
I was concerned about have a "speaker in a box" effect. I hope that having the speake 3 feet from either edge will cut down on this problem. Thanks for the encouragement so far. At least I don't feel like an idiot for suggesting it, at least yet :)
After much searching I have come to the conclusion that there aren't premade plans to build the sub I want. I guess that means I am going to have to design it myself. I am hoping to use the sub in my HT and I want it to fill up the space under the screen (in between two columns). I am hoping...
I was wondering if it is possible to have the Audax HT system run on the Outlaw 1050. I am thinking on running the left/center/right from the kit, but move the two monopole surround to the rear (wiring them together and setting the receiver to 4ohms) and making two of Vance Dickenson's dipole...
