what would be a nice step up from the 80s.I have a full suite of nautilis speakers in the home theater 804s htmlcenter and surrounds my question is should i move the 804s to the stereo setup. what would i replace the fronts of the home theater with.
i just picked up a rotel 1050 stereo reciever. I still have paradigm v1 studio 80 should i use them or go for something new. i was looking at b&w 704s.Is there anything which isnt in that price range thats good. really deep bass is not that important but i still want good foundation of bass.
Im not quite sure if i understand how to use the eq with a sound meter. some input would be nice im not a patient tweaker.my b&k ref30 has all kinds of bass adjustments. i am really considering a pc plus 2039 instead of the velo dd. i still really like my svs 2039cs but thought spending more...
I think it blows the 20-39cs out of the water when it comes to very musical bass. with movies it sounds just as good if not better. plus i can dial it in to the room perfect.
Was wandering if any body heard them perform yet. My dealer told me their the best out there. The dd 12 is about 2400 dollars. is it worth it Ive been using a svs 20-39cs for about a year now.
I just got done completing my system after about 7 years my speakers are B&W nautilis 804s htm1 center and nautilis surrounds along with a svs 2039 sub. powered by a Bk ref 30 and Bk power amp. sounds awesome best speakers around period.
he told me i had the eq on the sub set wrong and it was causing a certain nitch filter and the amp was trying to compensate for it and thats what caused it.
Hi every one i just got a new b-15 sub two days ago well last night i was watching lotr and it was sounding pretty good but after the cave troll scene it just stoped working the light is on in back but no sound i was only listening at -10 on my system not even at ref levels. i was told by the...
I must admit iwas probally playing to loud my sons friends were over so i went a little louder than normal. now dont get me wrong -10 on the bk is 10 clicks away from ref levels a least i think so. why is that movie so damm loud is it possiably a wire came loose inside because i dont get any...
I really like the cdm series but once i get it back they will probaly go upstairs in my bedroom system. i will use the paradigm studio 8o studio center and studio surrounds in the theater. they just seem better suited for home theater. unless it was a clipping amp. i probally should nt of ben...
I tried something differant that night i was using the paradigm x-30 sub control this has a selectable high pass on the main speakers before the power amp stage crossover points are 50-80-120 i was set at 80. in this configration you tell the bk ref 30 theirs no sub a run large speaker setting...
Do you think a bigger power amp may be what i need to look into if so any sugestions? maybe a bigger 2 channel amp and i would use the rotel for surrounds and center.
Its not the channel its the speaker already tried differant speaker. i put my old trusty studio80 in their place and everthing is ok again. now those paradigms i hope can handle it:)
Lat night i was watching lotr at pretty high levels went to check the levels of the speakers and one had a funny sound to it no tweeter the speakers were B&W cdm1nt the matching center and para adp studio surrounds, and a svs sub.could i have fried the tweeter in the one speaker? i use a bk ref...
Thanks for your reply Tom.would you suggest putting the svs on top of the paradigm? and keep them both in the same corner? i really wanted to add another svs 2039cs but the funds are not there right now.
Thanks for the help i will try that tommorrow and let you now how it went. with both doing bass the lotr should soun awesome, it already sounds damm good with just the svs.
Thanks for the input but the manual explains how to set up 2 svs subs not to diffucult because they use the same amp but how do i achieve a good balance between the svs and paradigm/where would i set the level on the paradigm? putting the svs on top of the paradigm sounds like a good idea but...
could anybody help with the set up of these two subs in the same room? would in be a waste of time to have both.how do i match the levels correctly? could someone give me some input on the subject. i know theirs alot of subwoofer gurus out their.
