Can anyone tell me the right cable connections to get the OSD up and going. The manual is no help at all. I have a Hitachi 53uwx if that makes any diff. I have another post for this, on different thread. I'm getting a little inpatient, and annoyed with the Rotel. Thanks for any help. Mike
Thanks for the input guys. I did buy it. The dealer isn't open yet, and I am having a problem getting the OSD to come up. I have a Hitachi 53UWX. I have about exhausted every cable swap available and still no OSD. And the manual is no help at all. I'm wondering if I have a defective unit...
I'm thinking of getting this prepro, was a demo unit. Is there any issues or known problems with this model that would make me not want to buy. Thanks for any input. Mike

Parasound used to make a power switch called SCAMP.
I don't know if they still make it....but I found some info on the Parasound web site for the SCAMP.
I just leave my amps on all the time, unless I'm gone for a few days.
I have a pair of Speaker Lab Super 7's for sale. I have owned them since 1984.
The walnut veneer is in good condition.
The sub woofers have rubber surround.
They sound great for HT, and rock for music.
I would prefer to sell locally... they are really HEAVY!!
I'm asking 300.00
Email me...
I think I'll hang back and wait also. For around a $1500 difference in price it may well be worth waiting!
Thanks, this helps in making an informed purchase.

Jeff, do you think the Outlaw and the Ref 30 are close in audio and video output quality?
And which one do you think has the most user friendly on screen controlls?
Mike
Thanks Aaron,
Thanks Jeffrey.
I was hoping I could save a few dollars for awhile and use the 5460 for a pre.
Any sugestions on fairly decent used pre amp models.
My HT is not getting a good WAF....must keep a low budget profile.
Can anyone tell me if I can use this reciever as a pre amp?
I hope there is a way.... but as far as I can see it doesn't look too promising.
Maybe someone can show me a work around.
Thanks
Mike
I drive my 20-39+ with an old H-K Citation 16, late 70's
Rated at 150 rms at 8 ohms....don't know about 4 ohms.
I'll get somthing with more juice
when my wife says I can
Kevin, Thanks for the reply.
On the front of the amp is a switch to change between 4 ohm and 8 ohm loads. But the manual says that stereo mode is the norm for this amp.
So If I bridge this amp, 4 ohms may look like 2 ohms.
What the heck...the worst I can do is bake my amp.
My question is...
How important is the speaker impedence on a bridged amp?
My user manual dosen't mention anything about 4 ohm speakers in bridged mode.
I'm using an old H-K Citation 16 to power my SVS sub... I'm only using one side in stereo mode right now, but I would like to try and...
Waz, Can't say anything for the Pioneer. I have the Yam 5460....almost the same, just a couple extras. Nothing to write home about. Anyway, I'm quite happy with the way it performs....good sound, gets real loud for movies and music.
When you have the speakers set to small all signals 90 and...
I had the same crackle problem with an old Pioneer cassett deck. The stuff I used is made by LPS...electro contact cleaner. The deck works as good as the day it was made.
I'm sure some electronic repair place would charge 40 or 50 dollars to do the same job.
have fun....
