    Sanyo Z5 Good/or Okay

Thanks for your replies. Frogpond and Eric, do you have any suggestions on what type of screen best fits the sanyo product. I'm looking to go with a 108" to 120" electric screen. Is the simple matte finish going to work okay or is there something better?

    Sanyo Z5 Good/or Okay

Jim, I've read the review by projectorcentral .com and I'll have to check out the other review you suggested. Thanks for your help again. There are some many nice units out there it is really difficult to choose. What are you running in your home, if I can ask.

    Theater Screen

Sorry for this simple question, but how do you decide one a screen size. I want to put in as large a screen as possible, because bigger is always better. But I not want it to be so large that is uncomfortable. My Theater will be in the basement and has 7' ceiling. The first row of two rows...

Options for subfloor in basement with low ceiling?

I don't know if this helps any but I just finished building my basement also. I live in Northern Indiana so I am in the snow belt. I also have low ceilings of (7'). I just layed the pad (sun burst) and carpet right down on the floor. I went with a Shaw carpet that was made up of recycled...

I'm liking the Sanyo Z5 and in my room it could work well, since I'm able to control all the lighting...

    Subwoofer head ache

I've been looking at SVS web site as I've read your suggestions. Checking out the cylinders and see how they would fit. Is there a problem if you lay these things down on the floor? Will it take any thing away from there performance? Or if I stood them up in opposing corners on either side...

    Should I wait??

Dave Like Rob I'm just finishing up a HT room. Other then all the B&w speakers for a 7.1 set up, I'm still in a quandary for the power to drive them. I was looking at the new releases from Marantz "SR8001 & SR7001". Since all I have right now is my old Denon PMA-500v ( 2 Channel) with a Luxman...

    Benq pb8250 Yeah or nay

Thanks everyone for your response. As I try to piece my HT system together (with a great deal of education from this forum) I learn that the more I find out the more I really don't know. I was really looking hard at the Panasonic PT-AE900U but everyone was saying how DLP's are the way to go...

    Benq pb8250 Yeah or nay

Does any one have any opinions on the Benq PB8250 projector. I was just at a Benq dealer and he was acting like he was doing me this great favor of selling me his projector for $1900. I just found it on line at the "projector people.com" for $1499. If any one has seen, used or owns one...
