Just got a Denon 1600 & am disappointed to find it doesn't diplay time remaining. I really want to like this player based on the great reviews I've seen but I'm wondering if I should get the RP-82 instead? Any comparisons between the 2, especially for CD playback? And what about the Toshiba...
My local dealer hasn't had any for a month & doesn't know when they're coming in...they said there might be a problem with the unit? Anyone know about this?
thanks-the xbr's after mine have pulldown; mine pnly has a line doubler. Is there a tangible (i.e., visible) difference in output between a player that does 3/2 pulldown detection versus a prog scan that doesn't (namely the Pioneer Elite C-36)?
I have a Sony XBR 400 TV & am looking for a prog scan DVD player. I found a Pioneer Elite that has digital progressive scan but doesn't do pulldown detection...does this matter? [also posted in the Basics forum]
Just picked up a Pioneer Elite DV-C36 after the salesman recommended it to me. Just looked at the specs & it says it does "digital progressive scan"--is this really progressive scan?? Anybidy have any opinions on this player? The other one tha looked good was the Denon 1600--pros/cons of one...
