Just wondering if someone can help in describing the different kinds of DVD packaging that DVD Profiler uses. They list the following: Keep Case, Snapper, Jewel Case, Clamshell, Drawer, Hub and Custom. My desciptions would be like this. Keep Case - The plastic cases that has become the...
I recently updated to the new version and I am experiencing one problem. I updated the Online Profile List when I wanted to add a new DVD. The file was around 2.25 MB, which for dial-up takes quite awhile. I need to update some of my images for some of my DVD's in my list and when I do...
I know that this may old news to some, but a local news channel had on a report about a service that will take either tape or DVD movies that you send in and make a copy on either tape or DVD that removes swear words, sex and violence.
One site says that they return the original DVD to you...
I was recently deleting DVD's from my wishlist and noticed something. The program does not automatically delete the corresponding images for the DVD you just deleted. You can verify this by looking up the DVD Profiler on your computer. Mine is under Program Files, then Intervocative...
Really great news. I am looking forward to Galactica, Sliders, Emergency and Earth:Final Conflict. What about Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules (With Kevin Sorbo)? They only released 2 discs of the live action series, what about the entire series?
I was thinking that the term "Full Screen" is sort of confusing. In regards to the term, it seems to indicate that with this version you get more. Full to some may indicate larger, bigger or more. Where as the term "Widescreen" may indicate to some that you need one of the new "Widescreen"...
I think you have to look at who shops at which stores. Wal-Mart & Target probably see's more families and J6P's. Since these people prefer full screen over widescreen that's why these stores prefer to carry more pan and scan versions. Where as Best Buy, Circuit City and other similar...
Fox 32 News here in Chicago a few weeks ago aired a little story on Disc Repair kits. The one they featured was called the Disc Doctor or something like that. It's green and black, comes in either hand powered or a higher priced electric model. What I remember from it is that you put the...
I think that Widescreen will win in the end. The main reason is HDTV(Widescreen TV's). Even though acceptance by the majority of consumers may take up to a decade, widescreen TV's will eventually become the norm for television sets. Hopefully this will happen sooner than later, but...
You can also buy replacement DVD cases at Wal-Mart. a 3 pack costs under $3.00. They should be in the Electronics Department. My Wal-Mart has them near the CD/DVD Cleaners, VCR Cleaners, Video-Tapes department. Hope this helps.

Just wondering if the dvd list is updated automatically on a regular basis, is it by computer or by a person. Every time since the 13th of this month, when I click on Add DVD to my wishlist from the toolbar it starts to connect to their website, then it checks the Profile list and other lists...
I am also in favor of including the teaser trailer on the dvd.
As others have said, it might be a good idea to include an introduction to the teaser, either in text or a visual intro by the director or somebody.
If it is on the dvd, it is always up to the viewer to click on the option to see...
