Is it bad to leave it in the "on" position for extended periods of time? how about all the time?

I just got mine today, and im very impressed. It adds a whole new dimension to music especially. Hope you all get your problems with it worked out. Thanks to everyone for recommending such a great little sub.

Is it bad to stack a dvd player on top of my receiver? How bad is this for circulation? I dont usually leave it on all day.

I just hooked up my denon 1600 with component cables, but when I turn on the progressive scan the picture goes away, and just makes a big mess. Do I need a certain kind of tv to make this work, or is it something else? Thanks for the help.

I just ordered the Denon 1600, and was wondering what would be the best way to connect it to my 1603. I would have thought an optical cable would be best, until I read somewhere that many prefer using the coaxial connection. Any suggestions? What are the audio benefits of each. On another...

My ps2 does play burned cd's. I have played many and they work fine. I know the video quality is not as good as a real dvd player, but im more concerned with the audio.

I have a cheap tv, but denon 1603 receiver, five jbl s-series speakers, and im expecting a dls 10" sub. How will a change of dvd/cd players affect my audio right now.

Does anyone know if the quality of cd's and dvd's would be greatly improved by playing them in an actual dvd player, such as the panny rp82, or the sony ns755, rather than playstation 2. Those are the two im deciding between, and im trying to decide if it would be worth the $200+ id have to...
