I need to replace my Onkyo R670 receiver and I would like to keep my speakers if possible (I am Cheap). What would be a good replacement for them.

Those speakers, while woefully inefficient, will work with every AVR ever made.What happened to the R670?

I was having problems with popping coming out of, what I thought was my left front speaker. As I was trouble shooting it, disconnecting speaker wires to see if it was indeed that speaker or the wiring. I hard a loud pop and then no sound. The unit shutdown and a red light blink at the power switch. I turned the unit back on and I had no sound.
I guess my real question is what would be a good receiver to replace this one?
