Here's a blog I've started to cronicle my basement remodel. The two primary features will be a commerical bar and a Home Theater. It's laid out so the theater can be closed off for that dedicated HT experience or the 2 converging 2.5" pocket doors can be opened to make it part of the bar area for watching the football game. Let me know what you think!

Colors for the HT (should be painting soon)

Ceiling/ projection wall - Black
Walls - dark, dark red
Columns/trim - dark tan

Hopefully I'll start painting this weekend so I should have more pixs soon. Also I have my mind made up on the Epson Home Cinena 1080p. It's pretty much the last piece I need for the HT. My other components are:

Onkyo TX-SR674 Home Theater Receiver
2 x Infinity CS60R In-ceiling Speaker (each)
5 x Infinity CS60 Each 6.5" In-wall speaker
Infinity PS28 8" 150-watt Powered Subwoofer

No DVD player yet, still trying to decide on that....

Looks like that will be quite a Man-Fort. What are the dimensions of the room?

The HT room is 16' deep x 12' wide. Will make seating choice a little problematic.

I think I've pinned down the seats I want in the room. Lovan Mantinee Leather seats. They are NOT cheap however. 2 rows of 4 + 4 ottomans are going to run me 5-6k. GAH!

Looking real good! I couldn't agree with you more about the solicitors.

Nothing more rewarding than doing the work yourself. Looks like you are well on your way to a great system. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress.
