I really hope that they release them separately, this is such a dick move. Like the most dick move ever pulled.

Interesting results - so far most will NOT buy this set. It's a matter of economics - people just will not fork over a small fortune for a complete set when it's obvious they're only interested in one or two titles . Most people at this point have purchased multiple releases over the years and right now this isn't a priority. Maybe if MGM would've done a complete set back when they did the other Blu's there might've been more enthusiasm. MGM - you're too late.

I was actually keen on this set because I have yet to upgrade any Bonds to Blu-ray. However, DigitalBits is reporting today that the extras from the Craig films have been dropped?!?! If true...that's just low.

As a Bond fan this is a difficult choice for me.... I had all the Bond films on VHS

, then the letterboxed laserdiscs

the special edition laserdiscs for Goldfinger and Thunderball came next

the first DVDs

the 007 boxed set

and finally the available Blu-rays.
I stayed away from the ultimate edition DVD sets since I did not care for the way in which the films were arranged, and instead waited for the above 007 boxed set.

Will I get the Blu-ray boxed set? Don't know at this point. The rumor mill at this point states that there will be nothing different from the previously released Blu rays with the exception of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace which will probably have less content than the previously released Blu-ray Special Editions. The new boxed set will also have a SKYFALL VideoBlog section and 2 featurettes on a separate disc apparently, but I'm pretty sure these will probably be included in the SKYFALL Blu-ray Special Edition when it's released.
BTW, the first SKYFALL teaser trailer was released today.... Check it out here:

I'll just wait for the single title releases. No thanks for the box set, and if the 9 unreleased titles only come in the box set, I'll just do without
and watch their dvd counterparts.

I want only "Oh Her Majesty's Secret Service" on BD.
I have the complete Bond collection on DVD.
"On Her Majesty's Secret Service" on Blu-ray is the only one I will buy.

Once the box set was announced I sold all the Bond blu-rays that I had, which was all of them. Yes, I too bought them on VHS, Laserdisc, DVD and blu-ray before. The price for the U.K. set is OK and I think the U.S. set price will come down..at least for Christmas sales. I'm not a fan of the packaging but I can always print custom covers and put them on the shelf that way later.

The only title I need from the box set is "The Spy Who Loved Me" -- mainly due to the fact that the first 40 minutes of that film is riddled with EE on the "Ultimate Edition" DVD set. While I’m a big fan of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", the UE DVD of that title is "good enough" for right now. So I'm *definitely* waiting on the individual releases. (Well... Unless Amazon runs a $150 dollar special or something ...)

A firm NO vote from me.
I will buy YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER because Sean Connery is Bond and ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE because it's the finest Bond film, if and when they are released individually at a reasonable price. Otherwise I'm content with the Ultimate Edition DVDs of these titles.
I've been a good consumer over the years buying and rebuying each upgrade since the early days of VHS up to the Blu-rays. There is no doubt in my mind EON productions has everything to do with the decision to withhold individual releases in order to force fans to buy a box-set that duplicates what they already spent money on. And there's NO doubt in my mind EON is behind the decision to not respond to customer requests about individual releases. I have no respect left for them.

A 'yes' from me.
In the UK Amazon are selling this for £90. I'll get at least £10 for the ones I already own - probably more.
That's £80 or less for 22 films, or just over £3.50 a film. Even the worst Bonds are worth that.

I haven't decided. Like many of you, I bought the original blu-ray releases -- even moved them to individual cases from those awful box sets they came in with the styrofoam hubs to hold the discs in place. This, after buying the complete set of films on CED in the early 80s, two sets of the films on VHS, and another set on DVD. The type of packaging in the Bond 50 set could make a difference. If the discs are individually packaged, I might go for it. If they're held on with sticky hubs like the Planet of the Apes blu-rays, no way. I would prefer individual releases, but at this point it's been four years since the last discs, and I'm quite anxious for the rest. Also, another deciding factor will be whether all the bonus content is carried over. If it's not, there's no way I would get the set. I'll wait for the single discs.

No way for me. Like others have said, I have all the blu's released so far, and the Ultimate Editions of the others. I'm good for now.

I owned all the Bond BD's that have been released, but sold them several months ago in anticipation of this release. However, I will not buy the set at it's current $199 price. I am waiting to find out if the UK release is region-free. If it is, I will order from Amazon.uk. If not, I will wait for a sale on the US set.
I can be patient waiting for my price point. I still have not purchased the Star Wars BD set.

I own all the previously released Bond films on Blu-ray. If they don't release the remaining Bond films on Blu-ray individually, then I just won't own them because I will not buy the box set.

Here's my take: I have no desire to own The Man With the Golden Gun, Moonraker, Octopussy, or most of the Brosnan Bonds (I would only want GoldenEye). I already have Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, Live and Let Die, Licence to Kill, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. That leaves Diamonds are Forever, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, On Her Majesty's Secret Service (which I'm on the fence on), For Your Eyes Only, A View to a Kill (again, on the fence), The Living Daylights, GoldenEye and Skyfall (when it comes out). I paid $5-10 each for the titles I already own, so I fail to see the benefit of buying the box set, even if they never release the titles separately (and the studios are too greedy for that to happen).

I agree with Douglas, I'd also include the Connery's, there're very good (esp. From Russia With Love), & I saw them all in the cinema, but they just look so ancient now. I like the Brosnan's. I know some people who are very excited about this, but for me it's another expensive box I don't have to buy.

No, because all of these films are eventually going to be released individually. All I have to do is wait. MGM and FOX are companies and as companies they are not going to let so much as a nickle escape them, so long as people are willing to buy these films. They will re-release them in box sets, individually, in gold cases, in silver cases, in platinum, in chocolate, etc., etc.

I got the previous Blu-rays so ridiculously cheap (I think the most I ever paid for one was $2.50) using Amazon credits and sales. I sold them all off when this set was announced (except for my Australian Casino Royale and my 2-Disc CR) so I think I actually made money on the deal. I have no problem buying this new set.

I vote "No", too. As great as Blu can be, I'm not replacing the bulk of my massive movie collection with Blu-ray editions. For me to double-dip and get it on Blu, a movie has to be either:
A.) a significant upgrade over a botched or substandard DVD version (i.e. THE ROCKETEER, THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING, JASON & THE ARGONAUTS, THE TAKING OF PELHAM 1 2 3 ('74), THE RED HOUSE)
B.) a perennial top favorite (KING KONG ('33), PSYCHO, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK)
As far as the Bond films are concerned, DR. NO through ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE are in both categories.
Other than THE SPY WHO LOVED ME and FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, I've never been interested in owning the Moore films, so standard DVDs of those two, plus Connery's least (DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER) and the Dalton/Brosnan entries, are good enough for me; I've only purchased any of those once on DVD, and won't be buying Blu-ray versions.
On Blu, I have DR. NO, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL, Craig's CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE. I have no intention of double-dipping on any of these.
All I want now on Blu are YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and (especially) ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. Post-1999, MGM (regardless of which studio they're partnered with) always plays this game with the catalog Bonds... trying to force those who aren't interested in owning every film in the series to buy films they don't want in contrived bundles.
Sorry, Fox/MGM, but I can wait for the inevitable individual Blu releases of the remaining two I really want... your twisted marketing schemes with this series, resulting in years of delays for YOLT and OHMSS, have made me supernaturally patient. You will blink before I do.
