There is one thing I don't understand, most of the
movie was shot in digital video but the ending
was shot in film. Was the ending originaly different
so they decided to shoot a new one in film rather
than Digital Video?.

According to imdb the plane at the end was Finnish and he says "Would you send a helicopter"

I cannot WAIT to see this one again! The Sundance screening was ultra-packed and this environment definitely helped to make the movie more fun.
