I've searched the forum and read the threads that relate to this question. I'm pretty sure I understand. Please bear with me. Here's my question: I have 2 sub-woofers - both have their own amps and thus only need pre-amp output from the receiver. I am about to install a Denon 3808-CI receiver. I want to drive both subs with it, of course. What is the best way to do so? Here are the answers that I think are correct: 1) take the single sub-woofer pre-amp output and connect both sub-woofer amps to it. Each amp will see 4 rather than 8 ohms but it will work fine. OR 2) Connect one amp to the sub pre-amp output and the other to the spare, assignable, fully powered, output on the receiver and monkey with the volume control on that second sub to equalize volume on the subs. I'd prefer to go with #1. Am I right that either will work and that choice #1 won't hurt the subs or the receiver? Thanks!
