I'm getting ready to make my first reciever purchase and I cant decide between these 2 models. I know the 1400 has 10 more watts per channel, and as far as I can see thats about it between the two besides the $100-150 price difference. I'm going to be using klipsch speakers, from what I hear they are very efficient. The only snag is the room size, its very large, about 8700 cubic feet. I have a feeling either of these recievers will do the job wonderfully, but I'm just asking for suggestions or comments on what will be best.

RX-V1400: Has true YPAO with an adjustable parametric EQ.

RX-V750: Has the "bastardized" version of YPAO - without an adjustable EQ.

One can manually adjust levels and distances (which is all the YPAO in the 750 does) in about 10 minutes with AVIA and a Radio Shack spl meter.

The parametric eq added in the 1400 does much more and is by itself very much worth the extra cost.
