which is better for HT dimensions? I can go 18ish deep by 22W or 16ish w by 20 ish deep on this remodel. The stacked/tiered narrow but deep room seems to make more sense to me.

IMO, you're better with the deeper room. My room is 13' wide and 18' deep.
