Warner’s: “Yes, yes, yes!”Aaaargh - not another overstuffed box set, please!
Better and best is not to say “Teal”.I hope the box contains some better color.
And a lamppost.
They'll most likely release a stand-alone 4K UHD after a year, or so. Just about every US and European big "Special Edition" release, by any label, gets a plain disc release a year later. In Scandinavia, we always get the Warner 4K UHD releases released locally, with no "Special Edition" packaging.Ha! Just what my apartment needs ..... more unnecessary clutter on the shelves. Maybe they'll release a "just the movie, please!" edition for the rest of us.
I'm just happy it doesn't include a Gene Kelly Funko Pop!
Vinegar Syndrome's Beastmaster 4K was from an intermediate element and looked pretty darn good. I'm sure WB has greater technical resources at their disposal to create a worthwhile 4K master. The biggest issue I have for this 4K release is that the original three-strip Technicolor negatives for Singin' in the Rain are lost. Without the OCN I'm not sure how much more a 4k can do over the already good enough blu-ray. But yes, my second issue is that the extras puff up the price and take up shelf space.
You don’t speak for all consumers. I love big box sets packed with goodiesWarner’s: “Yes, yes, yes!”
Consumers: “No, no, no!”
I hope the box contains some better color.
