Not really a short-lived series, but I'd kind of like to see Private Benjamin come out on DVD. The star of the show was a niece of my then-sister-in-law.

"Cimarron Strip" (1967-68), underrated western series with Stuart Whitman, CBS, color, just 23 episodes. Paramount, I want it !!!! :)

I LOVE that theme music, which I call Lawrence of Arabia Out West for obvious reasons.
It's arguably the best television theme ever. Maurice Jarre was at the top of his game there.

I think Cimarron Strip is so expensive because they're trying to sell the episodes individually, not as a set. Each episode is packaged individually.

They are selling it as a set; it's $345. If you bought all 23 episodes individually, it would cost you approximately $460. Either way, it's way overpriced.

Cimarron Strip is going to start running next month on Encore Westerns. So you can DVDR it yourself as it will be complete and commercial free. At 30 cents a blank (plus another 15 for a jewel case) you can do the whole run for under $10. Not a bad alternative to overpricing.

Lorna Patterson? She was good in that, also in AIRPLANE. Haven't seen her in anything in years though.

OMG I loved Pvt. Benjamin. It wasn't as good as the movie (they never are), but it was good! Speaking of movies to tv; how about 9 to 5?

Thanks. I did see where they had acquired the series. CourtTV aired them last year as well.
I actually do have all of the episodes on the TiVo. The hard part is taking the time to move them to DVD. I would be willing to just pay the retail price, though. :)

DoubleTrouble (with the twin girls)
The Tim Conway Show
California Dreams (I think this is what it's called, it starred Kristy McNichol's brother.)
The Hudson Brother's Razzle Dazzle Show
That show with James Vincent McNichol was called "California Fever".

Check the rest of the thread. I thought it would be best to post in this existing thread, instead of starting a new thread. It's a list of short-lived series I'd like to see released on DVD.

Depends what you mean by 'short run'.

The Calfornians ran to over 60 episodes. Philip Marlowe & The Alaskans also had reasonable runs 30 or more.
