Pioneer XV-DVD282AP receiver to new Sharp android TV (1 Viewer)

Hi guys. I'm a noob when it comes to AV setup.
Just got myself a new Sharp android TV(
4TC55EK2X). I'm trying to hook it up to the existing home theater system which is relatively old. Have attached the back panel of both TV and receiver. Would appreciate any feedback on how do I get the system to work with this TV.
Tried the HDMI but it didn't seem to work.

The two appear to be nearly incompatible. The only option I see is to connect the TV's headphone output to the line input in the receiver with an adapter cable. That's also not really a receiver. It seems to be a self-contained system, that's not really intended to have other sources connected to it.

You could also get a cheap optical digital to RCA DAC and go from the optical digital output on the TV to the line input.

The HDMI on the Pioneer HTIB will probably only send video to the new TV.
