While I like to get Botoi someday, I want to get Final Fantasy Tactics Advance first. Besides, I have a desire to get some old N64 games again.

Man, F-Zero has YET to go on sale. I guess I'll bide my time until next weekend and wait for the "big one" that's reportedly coming.

Doesn't Greyhawk: Temple of Elemental Evil ship this week too? I believe the release date was pushed up from the 23rd to the 16th.

I read an article in USA Today (which I never read) that said Microsoft will be packaging it's Xbox with a Star Wars game (not KOTOR) and one other game, along with a two month (i think) subscription to their Live thingy all for only $179.99. I've been wanting to get an Xbox soon so I can play KOTOR and Top Spin. Maybe it's time I took the plunge.

Hehe, I like that they release Boktai at the end of September when it gets nice and windy/wet/cold across the nation. April/May might have been a good idea, are my kids going to sit out in the snow during November to play GBA? ;)

Yeah, it is kind of a strange time for Konami to release the game, but it still looks pretty interesting to me.

Saw a couple of minor deals at Target - NCAA2K3 for the Xbox was $4.98, and Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube was $12.48.

The newly announced Xbox bundle is the system, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Tetris Worlds Live, and a 2 month trial subscription to Xbox Live for $179.99. Personally I think the better deal is the Walmart bundle that has the system, Splinter Cell and Mech Assault (I think that's the name)for the same price.

Well the girlfriend would rather play Tetris worlds so I'm kinda leaning towards getting the new Xbox Live bundle. Plus I really want it for playing Top Spin when that comes out. Or maybe I should just get the walmart deal and buy the other titles separately. Add thoes with KOTOR for 39.99 and it's a nice package.

i am getting a new PC. It should arrive in about 3 weeks. P4 2.8 ghz, 800mghz FSB 1 gig of ram and Radeon 9800 Pro video card. Any suggestions for PC games to get. I definately want C&C generals (play Age of empires on my old crappy gateway) but I also heard good things about BF1942. Is it worth picking up for $19.99? (Please note i have been a console gamer all my life. I finally got some cash to get a new PC. FPS is my favorite genre. I am really loking to get started into some pc games.).

thanks!

I don't see it on CC's website. For that price I would probably pick it up.

Let me know if you find confirmation of that somewhere else. Perhaps they have it in next week's ad.

If that's the case, then I will definitely wait til Sunday. I was undecided on whether I should buy it or just rent but for $37.99, I'll definitely buy it.

It's a gem and a steal at $19.99. I split my time evenly between PC and console games, but when I need an FPS fix, it has to be BF1942. Desert Combat is the best mod available for this game (or any other, for that matter); the 0.4 release came out a couple of days ago. The full install is hefty (at 573MB), but definitely worth the wait (a 234MB patch is available for previous DC users). The multiplayer experience for both BF1942 and DC are solid, if you have a broadband connection. They're not plagued with cheaters, which seem to be more pervasive in other games such as Counter-Strike. If you enjoy BF1942, you should also consider the expansion packs "BF1942: The Road To Rome" and "BF1942: Secret Weapons Of World War II".

Funny Neil, but that's about the same way that my mind works. Hmm... I could spend $5 on a rental... but $38 to own it is good enough for me. :)

Ken,

I picked it up last night. I went to Compusa but they were out. I took the flyer to Best buy (they had a ton) and they price matched for me. Now i just have to wait a couple weeks until my pc arrives. then it is "sucky noob time" for me in bf 1942 :D .
