You need to file out that scope plate a little bit
Yep I thought so too but I found the scope lens had twisted just a bit. Looks perfect now!!
This brings back memories. The theatre I worked at during law school had 4 screens equipped with Surround EX.Found a plaque I've been looking for. Another decoration for the screening room. Screening The Perfect Storm over the weekend the EX (6.1) makes a huge difference. I just wish more titles had the EX tract before film went to digital.

There is an add on printed circuit board for the CP650 that allows that unit to pass EX, but for me the CP500 required a Dolby SA10 (second from the bottom in the rack) to make the EX work. A pain to wire up but works great. Instead of a single center rear speaker I installed two JBL 8330's, one on each side. It’s too bad there’s no combo processor for both Dolby Digital and EX.
We had 650s in our EX screens when I was working PJ in Edmonton during law school. Nice upgrade. Fingers crossed that it works.Big day today. I'm upgrading my Dolby Digital processor from a CP500 to a CP650. I was not happy with the 500 processing the EX 6.1 surround so the 650 does a much better job with EX. This will be an all day and evening job with the equipment not coming in until after lunch. One wrong wire and the system won't work properly. I've got to get my mind in gear!!
IT sounds great and not even tuned yet, but I'm having an issue with matching the 5 programs in the automation with the 650. I've got new cables being made to make sure I didn't miss a wire somewhere. In the mean time we're still able to stream movies and project most anything on the big screen. Can't run mono, SR or Dolby A. I hope this week it will be fixed!! The EX will blow you away on SDDS much more so than the old CP500. That alone was worth the swap.We had 650s in our EX screens when I was working PJ in Edmonton during law school. Nice upgrade. Fingers crossed that it works.
