I'm just not a fan of using ARC (Audio Return Channel) to begin with. It has value, but it's horribly misunderstood, and it should be the last, "no other choice" option, rather than the first choice.

Yes. The only setups where I use ARC is the two soundbar setups in our bedroom and South Carolina condo. With a full home theater setup, it's usually best to avoid ARC if possible.

I use the arc feature because it’s the only way I can get hdr10+ from Amazon video.
Even though the Atv4K 3rd is supposed to support that it doesn’t for me.
