Peter Jackson eh? Who would have thought the director of Bad Taste and Brain Dead would go on to make arguably the best film(s) of the past 2 or 3 decades? Difficult to pick a favorite of the three, all are outstanding, I'll go along with Jim and pick Fellowship of the Ring, an incredible start to the greatest trilogy of films ever
"I would have followed you my brother, my Captain, my King" [sniff].
King Kong was a complete success IMO, the greatest monster movie of them all, probably. That's four 5-star movies in a row, Jackson has leapt to the top of the heap for me, lets see how long he stays there.

Braindead is one of the funniest films I've seen. Cracks me up every single time. I couldn't care less about King Kong.

Surprisingly, for someone who hasn't read the books, I'm not too much of a fan of THE LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy; I ain't too keen on the KING KONG remake either (particularly with that cast:frowning:!) but I expect to go watch it anyway when it's released.

Finally watched Heavenly Creatures, what the hell? A duller film I can't imagine, who can sit thru that more than once? Peter Jackson really direct that? Impossible to believe there are people out there who rate it higher than the Lord of the Rings trilogy. We're from different worlds, different upbringings definitely.
